Hiatus

We are leaving to go on VACATION. Can you tell I'm excited? We are going to the mountains in TN. We are not taking a computer, iPad, and turning our email off on our phone. For Mike, this is a big deal. We are leaving it all behind, except the kids. :)

Therefore, I will not be posting anything this week. But be sure that we will have the camera and lots to fill you in on once we return.

Don't miss me too much. :)

Hot Tub Fun

We are fixing to go out of town for vacation. YAY!!! This week has been busy with school, cleaning, laundry, making list, making list about the list… and so on. We are really getting excited but also we are very stressed to get everything done. I am still learning how to pack for all 5. :)

The kids have been a huge help during this busy process so play time has been scarce. Yesterday was the day to get it all out. They got in the hot tub and had a ton of fun. They love the jets being on and splashing them in the face. They sit on the side of the tub and slide into it. :) They see who can hold their breath the longest. They had a ton of fun.

Seeing who could hold their breath the longest.
After they were done they wanted to know who won.
I wasn't sure, so I told them to let their heads touch then when
someone came up they would know. See picture below. :)

Memorial day…I mean Labor day.

It is Monday morning. We are leaving to go to Mike's parents house to spend the day. As we were headed to town we pass through Starke (known for its police). Mike states "I need to be careful with my driving since it is Labor day weekend". I laugh and correct him "You mean Memorial day". Then I see what looks to be a light bulb so off in his head. He bust out into laughs and starts trying to talk and say "That's why all of our kids are dressed in Red, White and Blue. hahahahahaha". So yes, I thought that it was Memorial day and dressed all of us in Red, White and Blue. :) I even picked out patriotic bathing suits for the kids to wear.

So Happy belated Memorial Day everyone.  :)

Random...

I love doing crafts. Unfortunately, I don't have much time for that anymore. So when I can make a fast and fun little craft I do. Usually we use my craft stuff in homeschool to make crowns. Or zebras. Or  butterflies. We have a lot of fun with it. So here are some pictures I took of us getting some use out of my craft stuff.

Our teachers changed with the new school year at speech and occupational therapy.
So we made these to give to our old teachers on the last day.

Lauren invited us to her birthday party. I made this really quick. I printed on colored paper then cut it to make the flag. Used a piece of white tissue paper. I didn't have any brown tissue paper for the bottom. And as usual I was running late and didn't want to stop to get any. So I had a cardboard box. I cut strips and pulled the front and back apart to make this really cool zigzag design. Add a gift card and free cup and you have yourself a birthday present. (Lauren if you are reading this…don't judge me :)

A couple of weeks ago in school we were learning about jewels. I had some crowns in my craft stuff and tons of jewels. So they glued them on. Added some yarn for them to wear it. Even today Jon had his on. It is so funny seeing them in it.

Today we are learning about butterflies. The boys traced their hand with their fingers together, cut it out, glued it down. I cut a butterfly body. Then they decorated their butterflies with glitter glue.

I know this has nothing to do with this post but I can't help myself. This week Wesley was scared. (really just wanted to sleep in our room). So we told him he could sleep in our room until he feel asleep then we were going to take him to his bed. When I went in to take him to his bed he was sleeping with one leg up…dead asleep. How do you do that???   :)

Fun times that I would not trade for anything.
